"Bulgaria made many mistakes in the years of transition, but managed to avoid the biggest one - violence. Every manifestation of vandalism is an attempt against Bulgaria."
This was stated by President Rumen Radev in connection with the "Vazrazhdane" protest, quoted by Dariknews.bg.
He called on all parties and citizens to keep the peace, because Europe and the world are going through a difficult period. "We are a democracy, everyone has the right to an opinion, but the law is the same for all", the head of state said.
"The concerns of a large part of Bulgarians about the introduction of the euro are real and they cannot be arrogantly ignored", emphasized Radev.
The President noted that he has long insisted on not just an information campaign, but clear measures to guarantee the purchasing power of citizens.
On the occasion of the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Radev said:
"All this blind faith in victory, in a military solution, this encouragement of the leadership of Ukraine by a number of leaders, instead of stable defensive lines, this push towards a counter-retreat, has led to a catastrophe for Ukraine, which has consequences for all of Europe. I expect that reason will finally prevail and that within a year we will mark the anniversary without being in conditions of war."
