„After the good news about the request for a convergent report, we were immediately showered with cold water by the government. Bulgaria is obviously giving up on reforms and will lose nearly 1.3 billion leva from the PVU because GERB does not want the country to be modernized. From the PP-DB, we have been repeating for two years that the PVU reforms must be adopted. Since the beginning of this government, instead of introducing the laws under the Plan on the first possible day, nothing like this has happened. Finally, they serve us the news that we are losing this money. We find this extremely irresponsible, especially on the part of the GERB party, which claims to be pro-European”. This was said by PP-DB MP Ivaylo Mirchev, quoted by Nova TV.
In his words, the adoption of the laws on the PVU is a matter of a majority in parliament. “For PP-DB, it is important that the package of right-wing policies that we proposed is recognized by the other parties in the National Assembly”, added Mirchev.
“The rulers say that we do not have a legislative program, and at the same time they include PVU projects in their program. We signaled about these problems back in January 2024”, added PP-DB MP Bozhidar Bozanov.
