Party "Majesty: We have taken unprecedented actions to protect the integrity of the vote - 1

PP "Majesty" has issued a position on the process of challenging the legality of the elections for the 51st National Assembly. The party categorically states that the transparency and legality of the electoral process are of fundamental importance for statehood in Bulgaria, quoted by Nova TV.
„Our party has taken unprecedented actions to protect the integrity of the vote, as a result of which the Constitutional Court was notified. After more complaints were filed, a case was initiated“, the party writes.

Based on the inspections, analyses and expert assessments carried out in just over 2,200 polling stations, the Constitutional Court found significant discrepancies in the officially announced results, claims “Velicie“. The specific findings include:

· Difference in the number of valid votes in 46.75% of the checked polling stations;

· Discrepancies in the number of invalid ballots in 35.78% of the polling stations;

· Changes in the election results affecting the distribution of votes between parties, coalitions and independent candidates.

“These are serious violations, and only in a small part of the polling stations – subject of the inspection. Logic suggests that the scale of the substitution and distortion of the election result in the remaining polling stations of the country outline a picture that is absolutely unacceptable for the democratic foundations of our country“, the party also says.

Due to the paramount importance of this constitutional case and the fundamental importance of its outcome for society and the state, the PP “Majesty“ insists on the following urgent measures:

1. A clearly defined deadline for implementation. Due to the lack of explicit legal regulation on the deadlines within which the Central Election Commission (CEC) must carry out the recount of ballots and recalculation of election results assigned by the Constitutional Court, the Constitutional Court should set a deadline for the Central Election Commission (CEC) to carry out the recount of ballots and votes and present the final results. This will ensure predictability and efficiency of the procedure.

2 Presence of independent observers. To ensure transparency in the vote recount procedure, the PP „Veličie“ insists on admitting an optimal number of observers – representatives of the constituted stakeholders. This is necessitated by the fact that the national-level inspection assigned by the Constitutional Court to the CEC is in practice carried out by the same institution that committed the widespread violations – the occasion and subject of the constitutional complaints and the constitutional case.

3. Annulment of the illegal decisions of the REC. Based on the evidence provided to the Constitutional Court regarding the illegal changes of the RECs on October 25, 26 and 27, 2024, the PP „Veličie“ insists that these decisions be declared null and void.

“Our party will continue to closely monitor the development of the process and take all necessary legal actions to protect the democratic rights of citizens. We call on all responsible institutions, including the Constitutional Court and the Central Election Commission, to guarantee fairness, transparency and timeliness of all their actions“, the party also says
