A problem exists, but it is more personnel-related than related to buildings and structures. This was said by the Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov during Friday's parliamentary control, where she answered a series of parliamentary questions dedicated to the problems of emergency medical care in the country.
Minister Kirilov announced that in the first week of March, the Emergency Medical Care Branch in Ruen will receive a new ambulance with increased cross-country ability and the necessary equipment. He assured that the Ministry of Health has carried out all activities related to the acquisition.
Minister Silvi Kirilov also explained why there is no Emergency Medical Care team on the territory of the Hayredin municipality, Vratsa region. According to him, the municipality has 3,704 residents in six settlements. Three of them are served by the branch for Emergency Medical Care in Kozloduy, and the other three - by the branch in Byala Slatina. The Minister reported that the number of calls is on average about one per day.
Kirilov also indicated that work is underway to accelerate the processes of modernization of the Emergency Department at the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment - Pazardzhik. He added that the Ministry of Health is creating the necessary organization for the construction of a new Emergency Department at the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment "Dr. Ivan Seliminski" - Sliven.
