A fire broke out early this morning at an oil refinery near the city of Ufa in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan, RIA Novosti reported, quoted by BTA, citing the regional branch of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of Russia.
"There is no danger to residents of nearby areas," local authorities added.
According to Russian authorities, personnel and equipment have been sent to the scene of the fire to monitor air quality.
It is not yet clear what caused the fire.
Several Russian channels on "Telegram", including the news channel "Shot", reported that the fire broke out after an explosion at the oil refinery refinery.
