US President Donald Trump is pursuing a policy of division in Europe. The circle around Trump is giving clear signals that it supports anti-European and nationalist movements, but in any case movements that try but do not have a solid influence on European politics.

According to him, many Americans support Ukraine and are ready to help it, but on the other hand, Trump and his team are visible. Trump has not overcome the negative attitude towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky since his first term. Trump was pressuring Zelensky to provide him with evidence about the son of former US President Joe Biden in Ukraine, but Zelensky did not provide such evidence, Tagarev highlighted.

"Trump has not overcome his relations with Ukraine and sometimes changes his speaking style. Last week, Trump declared Zelensky a dictator," Todor Tagarev reminded, according to whom Zelensky himself made several mistakes. Zelensky should not have gone to Washington during the week.
There is no known framework for Donald Trump's peace plan, Tagarev pointed out.
He stated that it is conditional on having a peacekeeping contingent and an army on the territory of Ukraine. Neither the US, nor the peace plan is clear, nor is the commitment that there will be a guarantee from the US for support clear. The US does not want to send troops into Ukraine, the former Minister of Defense emphasized.
Tagarev also stated that Bulgaria is holding an uncertain position and therefore is not invited to the table for peace negotiations in Ukraine.
