The desire for freedom goes with peace. And peace is something that should give us strength to move forward, added the first person in the state.

Heads of state and leaders from all over the world congratulated the Bulgarian people on the National Holiday of March 3 in congratulatory addresses sent to President Rumen Radev on the occasion of the 147th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria, dariknews.bg reported.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres congratulated the Bulgarians on the holiday. In his address to Rumen Radev, he pointed out that in the face of global challenges, the international community is facing an increasing number of trials that require multilateral solutions, noting the need to strengthen peace, sustainable development and human rights.

US President Donald Trump congratulated on behalf of the Americans on the National Holiday of Bulgaria on March 3 and wished the Bulgarian people happiness and prosperity. The United States and Bulgaria have a long history of working together as friends and allies, the US President wrote in his letter to the Bulgarian head of state. Donald Trump notes that Bulgaria, as a valued partner, together with the United States, plays an important role in advancing efforts to achieve a sustainable end to the war in Ukraine and in ensuring secure, reliable and affordable energy supplies.

In his greeting on the occasion of Bulgaria's national holiday, the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Charles III expressed satisfaction with the strong ties that our two countries share and looked forward to the subsequent strengthening of friendly relations. "My wife and I are pleased to extend our best wishes to you and all Bulgarians this year," King Charles III said in his greeting.

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, congratulates the Bulgarian people on March 3 on his own behalf and on behalf of his compatriots. The friendly relations between our countries, especially the diverse direct ties between our citizens, are important for the strengthening of the European community, the German President said, emphasizing that bilateral relations can now be further deepened after Bulgaria's full accession to the Schengen area. Frank-Walter Steinmeier notes the importance of solidarity towards common democratic values and security within the European Union and NATO in the current geopolitical situation.

Congratulating the holiday, the President of Ireland Michael Higgins wishes peace, prosperity and happiness to the Bulgarian people.

The Federal President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen emphasizes the long-standing bilateral relations between Austria and Bulgaria as reliable partners in the EU, which this year have entered a fruitful phase after the opening of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Sofia in January this year. Against the backdrop of the current geopolitical challenges facing Europe and the entire world, it is important to remain united and committed to our common values, and in this way we can together contribute to the peaceful future of our countries, of Europe and beyond, the Austrian head of state said.

In his congratulatory address, King Philippe of the Belgians noted the importance of the close cooperation between Bulgaria and Belgium and wished the Bulgarian citizens well-being. On the occasion of the holiday, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden wished the well-being of the Bulgarian people and personal happiness to President Rumen Radev.

The historical and cultural ties between Bulgaria and Hungary provide a good foundation for the further development of our bilateral cooperation, Hungarian President Tamas Sujok said in his congratulatory address to Rumen Radev. The Hungarian head of state added that Bulgaria's successful accession to the Schengen area will give further impetus to our partnership, facilitating the deepening of economic and human contacts.

In his greeting to the Bulgarians and to President Rumen Radev, the President of the Czech Republic Peter Pavel points out that the bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, based on traditional friendship and shared values, will continue to develop in areas of mutual interest.

On behalf of the Slovenian people, the President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar wishes the Bulgarians peace and prosperity. “Slovenia and Bulgaria have deep and friendly relations and constructive cooperation at the bilateral, regional and international levels, also based on the partnership in the European Union and NATO“, said Natasa Pirc Musar and recalled her visit to Bulgaria last year at the invitation of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, which confirmed the mutual interest in further deepening relations and cooperation in a number of areas.

Ilie Bologan– Acting President of Romania, wishes the Bulgarians peace and prosperity. He expressed his belief that bilateral relations will continue to develop in the spirit of mutual trust, friendship and good neighborliness. Ilie Bolozhan notes that the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Romania, the declaration for which President Radev signed two years ago, as well as the common commitment of the two countries as partners and allies in the EU and NATO will contribute to solving regional and global challenges to guarantee the security and prosperity of our citizens.

The Republic of Serbia greatly values cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria and wishes it to develop with high intensity and in the same spirit of mutual understanding and respect in the interest of our citizens, as before, stated Serbian President Alexander Vučić in his congratulatory address to the Bulgarian head of state. Aleksandar Vučić points out that the deepening of good-neighborly relations contributes both to ensuring the stability and progress of the two countries, as well as in the regional plan.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev points out that high-level political relations and active dialogue create a good basis for further expansion of cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan in all areas."Our bilateral relations, built on good traditions, partnership based on mutual trust and support, are strengthened every year and enriched with new content", Ilham Aliyev stated in his congratulatory address to Rumen Radev. The President of Azerbaijan expresses confidence in the success of joint efforts to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of the Joint Declaration on Strengthening the Strategic Partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, which Presidents Radev and Aliyev signed in May last year.

The good friendly relations between Egypt and Bulgaria have been steadily deepening over the past decades, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi noted in his congratulatory address. He added that through joint efforts, bilateral cooperation can be built on in a number of areas of mutual interest.

The President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas wishes the friendly people of Bulgaria progress and prosperity. Mahmoud Abbas expresses readiness for bilateral relations to develop and grow.

The Republic of Korea and Bulgaria have built strong ties of cooperation, said the acting President of the Republic of Korea Choi San-mok in his congratulatory address to the Bulgarian head of state. In the context of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which our countries are celebrating this year, he points to the potential for further development of bilateral relations and strengthening of friendly ties between the two peoples.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wishes Bulgaria to continue developing in a spirit of unity and solidarity. I believe that the relations between Kazakhstan and Bulgaria, based on friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, will continue to develop, Kassam-Jomart Tokayev said.

King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) congratulated the Bulgarians on their National Day and pointed to the potential for deepening and further developing joint efforts in the fields of investment, trade, tourism and technology.

Congratulatory addresses to President Rumen Radev on the occasion of March 3 were also sent by the Emperor of Japan Naruhito, the President of the Republic of Chad Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other state heads.
