We will do everything possible as the opposition to ensure that the new budget includes funds for the repair of the Freedom Monument. This was stated by the co-chairman of "Continuing Change" Kiril Petkov on Mount St. Nicholas.

He was in the company of Nikolay Denkov and other party members. They laid a wreath in front of the Monument and knelt in recognition of all who gave their lives for the liberation of Bulgaria.

"This is a holiday for all Bulgarians. We must be grateful to the people who gave their lives so that we can live in a free country," Petkov told NOVA.

"Happy March 3! We pay tribute to all who sacrificed their lives for a free Bulgaria. Freedom was not given to us for free - it was won with battles, faith and an unyielding spirit.", wrote the Minister of the Interior Daniel Mitov on the occasion of the National Day.

According to him, our duty is not only to remember, but also to preserve the order and security of the state, in order to pass on to the next generations a strong and stable Bulgaria.

"Today more than ever we must be united, defend our national interests and work for the future of our country. Happy holiday!", added Mitov.

Happy March 3! A tribute to the feat of all the heroes who gave their lives for our Freedom. This was written by the Chairman of the Court of Accounts Dimitar Glavchev.

"We remember their feat and carry in our hearts the spirit of immortality, greatness and pride of our people. A bow to the memory of all fighters for our freedom! An example of how a national ideal is upheld. There is something to learn. Every day.

Long live Bulgaria!", he added.

"Today, 147 years after the Liberation of Bulgaria, when we pay tribute to the memory and deeds of all the heroes who gave their lives for its freedom, we must once again think about the most valuable thing - peace and freedom, which have no alternative. This was written in a letter to the media by the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski.

"For "DPS-New Beginning" Peace, freedom, a healthy family and faith are the foundation of a state that thinks and serves for the benefit of the people, for the better future and prosperity of the Motherland. Happy National Holiday!", Peevski also wrote.

The leader of the "Vazrazhdane" party congratulated Bulgaria's National Holiday on his Facebook profile.

"Happy National Holiday, Bulgarians! 147 years of freedom!", Kostadinov wrote.

Today is March 3, Bulgaria's National Holiday. Today we celebrate the restoration of Bulgarian statehood in 1878 with the Third Bulgarian State. This was written on his Facebook profile by the leader of "There is such a people" Slavi Trifonov.

"Because, unlike all Europeans, we have had a country for 1344 years that has always been called Bulgaria. Not Gaul, then the Frankish state and then France or Hellas, Byzantium and then Greece, or Celts and Germans, then the Holy Roman Empire and only then Germany. No, we have been, are and will be Bulgaria. That is why today is more special. National", writes Trifonov.
