This is the protection of the national interest, our protection in the common European family, for a stable and strong Europe with leadership positions. That is how I count on today's holiday – on a sovereign Bulgaria that has its own self-confidence, knows how to defend its interests and can have a strong voice in the European family, and not on waiting for different groups within Europe to decide for us. This was shared by Vice President Iliana Yotova to the media.
She noted that Bulgaria's absence from yesterday's meeting in London on the future of Ukraine is exaggerated and recalled that other countries did not attend the forum either.
It is not good when unity in Europe is threatened to gather and group different countries. The place for such discussions is at summits, the Vice President specified.
