US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reminded former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of her mistake in overextending relations between Russia and the US, writes American columnist for PJ Media Matt Morgulis.
Earlier, Clinton, commenting on reports of the Pentagon chief's order to the US Cyber Command to cease operations against Russia, accused Hegseth of working for Moscow.
In response, the minister published a photo of her with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
„This photo was taken during Hillary Clinton's failed advertising attempt to „reset“ relations with Russia, when she was Barack Obama's Secretary of State. Of course, her team failed even at this simple task, mistranslating the planned "reset" /b.r. in Russian перезагрузка/ as "overload" /in Russian - перегрузка/, writes Morgulis, noting that the Democrats' criticism of the Trump administration's efforts to improve relations with Moscow smacks of hypocrisy against the background of information that Hegseth ordered the US Cyber Command to cease all activity against Russia.
At the same time, as the media outlet specifies, this measure does not apply to the National Security Agency (NSA) and its intelligence activities regarding Russia.
