“Lilliputians claim I am a ladybug” – this is how Rosen Karadimov described the attack on him that he is dependent on the leader of “DPS – New Beginning” Delyan Peevski.
This was stated by the former minister after “BSP – United Left” nominated his candidacy for chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC), and Boyko Borisov called on them to explain why they had chosen him. The GERB leader said that he would not support her if Delyan Peevski did so. From “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” - MRF also declared against the BSP nomination.
“There was a lot of speculation with the metaphor of the Lilliputians. I meant the spiritual and moral height. Some recognized themselves physically, but I did not mean that. The problem is not my candidacy for chairman of the CPC, but to preserve my name and dignity. I will not allow failed politicians to exercise on this name and dignity that I have built for 40 years. There is no option in which I would give up the nomination for chairman of the CPC because of the support that has been given to me”, commented Rosen Karadimov to NOVA.
According to him, there is no official position from “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” - MRF to declare against Karadimov's candidacy for chairman of the CPC. “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” – MRF is a serious political formation with traditions. I have worked together with many of my colleagues from “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” – MRF in the triple coalition. Dzhevdet Chakarov was Minister of Economy in the period 2005 - 2009. The party is more sensitive after splitting into two formations last year. Peevski said that he would not support me and even more, he said that he would not nominate me. A clearer sign than this can hardly be given. But this will not prevent them from continuing to say that I am Peevski's man. If it were the other way around, Peevski would probably see that "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - MRF are behind me, Karadimov believes.
According to him, the claim that he is supported by Delyan Peevski is based on an interview with Vessela Lecheva from 2009, in which she said that Rosen Karadimov worked together with Delyan Peevski.

Kiril Petkov's entire attack against me is based on a statement from 2009. In law, negative facts cannot be proven because they cannot be proven.
