Another attack on the electoral process is happening.
This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Denitsa Sacheva, deputy chairwoman of the GERB-SDF parliamentary group.
"There is another loss of trust in the electoral commissions and what happens during the elections. Therefore, it is more than clear that there must be a broad discussion on the Electoral Code in order to restore citizens' trust in the elections. ... It so happened that probably from now on the Constitutional Court will play a role in determining the final outcome of the elections, because now someone will always be found to seek the final sanction from it", she commented.
The president should not behave as an analyst and critical commentator on the processes, especially when there are suspicions that he may also be part of certain behind-the-scenes influences, said Sacheva: "Every politician should be in his place and bear his responsibility, comment on the merits, and not transfer the problem from the sick head to the healthy one. ... It is very clear that every time we get closer to the eurozone, when we get closer to it being more and more difficult in Bulgaria to work with dirty money and to bankrupt banks, more and more difficult for Bulgaria to be isolated outside the heart of the EU, every time we are one step away from this, every time events occur that in one way or another try to block these processes. This is a topic that should be central for all of us in order to answer the question "what kind of country do we want to be?".
According to her, the historical window that is open for Bulgaria to enter the eurozone is now and policies must be adopted in the budget that will enable our admission to the single European currency area.
In her words, with the entry of "Veličie" into parliament, the number of votes that are against Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone is increasing and the number of anti-system parties is increasing.
We are not looking for any reserve majority, said Sacheva in response to APS MEP Ilhan Küçük and defined his words in the program "Politically Incorrect" as a provocation, including to the leadership of his own party and specified:
"We have a very good dialogue with Dzhevdet Chakarov and we have received very clear assurances from him, as well as from the entire PG of the MRF-DPS, that we will have their support for the budget and that the budget is a priority topic for the MRF-DPS. So we are not looking for any reserve majority", she said.
Denitsa Sacheva stated that the ruling party did not seek support from the MRF-NN either for the parliamentary majority, or for the government, or for the budget, and Delyan Peevski's stated readiness for support was his personal decision.
Work is underway on the laws related to the PVU, assured the deputy chairwoman of the PG of the GERB-SDF.
