Medical staff in state psychiatric hospitals are protesting demanding a 50% salary increase and are threatening collective resignation. Within 3 days, mass protests will begin in the hospitals, Nova TV reported.
The staff at the State Psychiatric Hospital in Sevlievo explained that the orderlies there are on a minimum wage, the nurses are on 1,600 leva, the doctors without a specialty - on 2,000 leva, and the doctors with a specialty - on 2,400 leva, the head of the department - on 2,600 leva.
The hospital director said he supports the staff's strike actions. He explained that the team is aging and if they retire, the hospital will close.
