The Chief of Defense, Admiral Emil Eftimov, will participate in the solemn ceremony of the official dispatch of a military formation to participate in the operational reserve forces of the NATO Stabilization Force in Kosovo (KFOR). It will take place on March 19, Wednesday, at 11:00 in Blagoevgrad at “Macedonia“ Square.
Over 100 servicemen, mainly from the 3rd Brigade Command - Blagoevgrad, from the Land Forces, will participate in the NATO Stabilization Force in Kosovo (KFOR) operation.
The Bulgarian contingent will perform tasks to support efforts to restore and maintain security in Kosovo. The commander of the 2nd Multinational Battalion is Lieutenant Colonel Yordan Ivanov, and the commander of the mechanized company is Senior Lieutenant Ivan Dukov.
