The Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov announced that money for paying Easter supplements for pensioners will be found.
He specified that the ruling coalition will jointly decide what the amount of the supplements will be and whether all pensioners will receive them, or only people with lower pensions. This will also depend on the revenues in the budget.
"We have had conversations, including with the chairman of the social committee, with Mrs. Denitsa Sacheva, all the people who participate in this complex management and make the decisions. I believe that it is right to find funds for the Easter supplements and they will be found, but let's take it step by step. People will not be deprived of anything for the holidays. Or at least we will try as much as possible for the state to intervene in this situation," said Minister Gutsanov, BNR reported.
Last year, pensioners with pensions below the poverty line, which was 526 leva, received 100 leva for Easter.
For Christmas, 330 thousand adults with low pensions received 100 leva in addition to their pensions.
