The PP-DB did not rule out the possibility of attacking the election of Orlin Kolev as a judge in the Constitutional Court from the parliament's quota. This was stated by Lena Borislavova on the sidelines of the parliament after the vote in the plenary hall:
"This is an issue that we will discuss with our colleagues - experts on the topic and in the next few days we will be able to make a decision. But there were indeed violations that were made both with the inclusion of the item on the agenda today and during the hearings in the commission, when the candidates were not given the opportunity to answer all the questions posed in violation of the adopted rules".
The PP-DB were categorical that with the election of Kolev, a judge enters the Constitutional Court who will serve the interests of Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski and will defend the lack of control of the Prosecutor General in the person of Borislav Sarafov. We are in a new political situation, Kiril Petkov pointed out:
"The new political situation is that the APS justification is no longer there. It became clear that in the last vote for a constitutional judge, a very important vote, GERB, "New Beginning", ITN and BSP were there. At that moment, we saw, unfortunately, that there was no longer any cover, no longer any smokescreens. Everything is clear - in this parliament the ruling majority is with "New Beginning". If Borisov did not defend Peevski, Peevski would have gone from the hashtag "Who" to the hashtag "Nobody".
Borisov himself got himself into the situation of depending on Delyan Peevski, added Bozhidar Bozanov:
"The majority that is being formed is entirely at the will of Mr. Borisov. He had many opportunities to prevent this vote from happening, including through our procedures for postponement, re-voting, etc. These opportunities were missed by Mr. Borisov and he himself got himself into the situation of depending entirely on Peevski".
