MECH is preparing a national protest on March 26th - 1

The MECH political party is organizing a national protest on Wednesday, March 26th, in front of the National Assembly, the party informed in a press release, NOVA reported.

After Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova announced that her parliamentary group ceases to exist due to an insufficient number of deputies (10), its leader Radostin Vassilev threatened to take action against this decision.

The party added that the protest will start after 7:00 and will be under the slogan: "Out of power, scumbags!"

We recall that the group disbanded after the Constitutional Court's decision, which reduced the number of MECH deputies from 12 to 11. They lost three MPs, and two new ones had to be sworn in. One - Ivan Ivanov, has not yet taken the oath, although the decision for him was made last week. The other - Samuil Slavov, was sworn in, and then resigned.

The next one - Plamen Petkov - was supposed to take his place. His election was announced today in the “State Gazette”, but he was unable to take the oath due to the lack of a plenary session. Thus, the number of MECH deputies remained at nine. According to the regulations on the organization and activities of the parliament, the minimum number of MPs to form a parliamentary group is ten.

"BSP-United Left" and GERB-SDF expressed their support for Assoc. Prof. Kiselova, stating that she acted according to the rules. And Radostin Vassilev announced that he would refer the matter to the prosecutor's office. MECH received the support of "Vazrazhdane", PP-DB and ITN.
