Today is the deadline for political parties to submit their financial statements for last year to the National Audit Office.
So far, 73 formations out of a total of 128 have done so, the audit institution says. In addition to the financial statements for 2024, political parties must also submit standard declarations, which contain lists of individuals who made donations.
The National Audit Office reminds that a political party that fails to submit a financial statement and declaration on time is subject to a property penalty of BGN 5,000 to 10,000.
