The increase in the price of vignettes will come into effect from May 1, and the new higher toll fees for using the republican road network by heavy goods vehicles and buses are in effect from April 1, with a new increase in the tariffs also adopted from September 1.
The government decree is dated today and published in the Legal Information System of the Council of Ministers.
The prices of vignettes have been increased and are in effect from May 1, they are published in both leva and euro. The annual one is now 97 leva, the quarterly one is 54 leva, the monthly one is 10 leva. 30 leva, the weekly – 15 leva and the weekend vignette has a new price of 10 leva.
The announced price increase for the use of the paid road infrastructure by heavy goods vehicles and buses has been announced from April 1 to August 31 inclusive and from September 1, with even higher prices. The fee is for the distance traveled, calculated per kilometer, depends on both the mass and the eco-category of the vehicles, depending on whether a motorway is used or the road is first-class or second-class.
The most expensive per kilometer will be paid from tomorrow until the end of August by trucks weighing over 12 tons, with 4 or more axles from the EURO 0 1 and 2 category, when driving on the motorway – 47 stotinki per kilometer. From September 1st, the price per kilometer on the highway for the same trucks will now be 52 stotinki.
The lowest toll fees are for buses for passenger transport with a EURO 6 certificate, 4 stotinki per kilometer for the highway, 3 stotinki for first-class and 2 stotinki for second-class roads until the end of August, and from September the prices will be 5, 4 and 2 stotinki for the same buses, respectively.
The decree also publishes the compensatory fees that can be paid if, upon inspection, it turns out that the toll fee has not been paid for the two relevant periods - until the end of August and from September 1st.
