KEWR decided: Cheaper gas in April - 1

The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission approved the price of natural gas for April at 75.08 BGN/MWh, excluding access, transmission, excise and VAT prices. This is over 14% lower than in March. The regulator approved the price after analyzing the current data submitted today by “Bulgargaz“, forming the price of natural gas for April.

The price mix includes the entire contracted quantity of Azerbaijani natural gas supplied via the “Bulgaria - Greece“ (IGB) interconnector. These quantities cover 68.66% of consumption for April and are important for achieving a favorable price. The price mix for the month also includes production from the “Chiren“ gas storage facility.

The provided quantities cover the public supplier's commitments for April to end suppliers and district heating companies, as well as the quantities under bilateral contracts with industrial customers.

At the open meeting on 28.03.2025, the Chairman of KEWR Plamen Mladenovski emphasized that the significant reduction in the price of gas by 14.3%, compared to the previous month of March, eases the budgets of household consumers and creates real competitive advantages for Bulgarian business.

The decision of KEWR to approve the price of natural gas for April 2025 will be published on the regulator's website.
