The prosecution is demanding at least 15 years in prison for the murder of psychologist Ivan Vladimirov-Nav - 1

"The prosecution is demanding between 15 and 20 years in prison for the murder of psychologist Ivan Vladimirov-Nav. The aggravating circumstances should prevail in the amount of the punishment," the prosecutor in the case, Kristiyan Aleksandrov, said in his pleading, BTA reported.

Today was the last hearing in the case of Vladimirov's murder, and tomorrow the court is expected to issue a verdict in the case against Rumen Tonev.

Vladimirov was shot in the entrance to the block of flats in which he lives on the evening of February 8, 2023. According to the prosecution, Tonev fired with a “Baikal” pistol. In addition, data from the investigation show that Tonev was fined in 1996 for illegal possession of ammunition. He paid his fine and was rehabilitated.

According to the prosecutor's office, in the evening, at around 10:30 p.m., Vladimirov went to his neighbor's house. The reason was that a black substance resembling machine oil had been smeared on the front door of his house, and this was not the first time this had happened.

The two had a short conversation that escalated into a verbal conflict, during which the defendant took his legally owned "Baikal" pistol from his home, which was loaded, pointed it at Vladimirov's head and fired.
