An accident closed the main road Sofia - Varna in the area of the village of Ablanitsa, this was announced by the spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Lovech, Gabriela Todorova, quoted by BTA.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m.
Two passenger cars collided. Both drivers were injured, one, a 77-year-old man – more seriously.
The other vehicle was driven by a woman who suffered minor injuries.
The causes of the accident are being clarified.
The road is closed in both directions.
Those traveling to Sofia are directed through Ablanitsa, and those traveling to Varna - through the village of Mikre.
Police are on site regulating traffic.
