Until 2029, there is a 100% secured financial resource for rehabilitation. We are now implementing the PVP for 746 approved projects under the first stage and 282 projects under the second stage. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Regional Development Dora Yankova in the program “Live Day” on NOVA NEWS.
She explained that by the end of April they must finalize the PVP in the rehabilitation section.
“This means that 743 projects will be financed at 100%, 282 projects – at 80%. 90% of the contracts have been concluded”, the deputy minister added.
For the second national program, Yankova indicated that there is a political decision - the operator of the funds will be the Development Bank. And it will start in the second half of the year.
The deputy minister explained that assessments have been made for energy efficiency - housing policy, but there is a delay in public procurement by municipalities in 2024.
„This is fatal, since now about 1,000 projects must be implemented with a construction site, public procurement. We have 189 that have been finalized and a contractor has been selected. That is, we have 200 projects that can be implemented. By 2025, we must have implemented and technically and financially accounted for the entire program”, the deputy minister explained.
Yankova also said that the ministry has 108 more projects on which the municipalities are not responding and with this delay, they will not be able to implement their tasks.
“I accepted the position of deputy minister because of one specific task – the implementation of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan in the – rehabilitation” section, said Yankova.
