The "Majesty" party will support the vote of no confidence against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet on the topic of corruption, with its leader Ivelin Mihaylov revealing shocking data on abuses in the "School Milk" program. This became clear during the parliamentary debates on Wednesday, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency reported.
„The worst thing that happens while this government continues to work is that more and more people want to leave Bulgaria because they live in a country where there is no predictability of what the law is and how they will be protected by it", Mihaylov said from the rostrum of the National Assembly.
According to the leader of „Velicie", „zero compliance with the laws" reigns in Bulgaria, and real criminals are not arrested because they help the ruling party secure a majority by buying votes.
Mihaylov paid special attention in his speech to the „School Milk" program, revealing specific data on disproportionate price increases.
„I learned shocking facts from a supplier on the program – apples are bought for two leva, and delivered to schools for eight leva. 200 grams of yogurt is produced for 0.32 leva, and delivered for 1.40 leva," the chairman of the parliamentary group pointed out.
Mihaylov directly accused companies close to GERB of being the main suppliers of the program, and estimated that out of a total of 300 million leva spent in two years, about 200 million were collected through inflated prices.
„At the same time, we wonder how some children can be saved", the politician commented bitterly, adding that this is „just a small part of the great corruption in Bulgaria".
In conclusion of his speech, Ivelin Mihaylov issued a serious warning: „I don't know how the state still exists, because with such spending of the budget, with such spending of state resources, Bulgaria will not exist in a few years. That is why it is very important that this government be stopped."
