Expert forecasts have come true - fuel prices are noticeably lower to date. After crude oil on international markets fell in price in early March, the effect is already visible at gas stations.
Today, many noticed some of the lowest prices at the gas stations since the beginning of the year. According to the fuelo.net platform, the average monthly decrease is about 15 stotinki per liter of gasoline and diesel. After the big trip on Thursday, many people set off today. Crude oil prices fell below $70 per barrel in early March. On the second day of the long journey, the effect was also visible on the gas station receipts.
"Prices seem to be good for the moment, but they had started to go up. Gas reached 1.30 leva, now it is 1.22 leva. Fuel for about 50 leva fits the tank of my car," explained Angel Mihaylov to Nova TV.
A decrease is also felt in gasoline.
Yonka, who will celebrate Valentine's Day with her family in Sevlievo, also fills up often.
"I rarely travel and I can't judge whether I need to fill up additionally", she pointed out.
The lower fuel prices with an average of 15 stotinki per liter also pleased Boris, although his plans are different - he will not travel for the holidays.
"Especially the large chains can afford it and it's very good for the holidays, people are traveling en masse, so let's make fuel cheaper," he revealed.
Fuel prices are currently one of the lowest in two years, experts share.
"Since 2023, there have not been such low prices, currently at various stations from 2.30 to 2.45 leva are the maximum prices. This is a small gift for the holidays for people," believes Dimitar Hadzhidimitrov.
And the big holiday trip started a week ago, the industry reports.
"Since last Saturday, people have started preparing for this long trip. So there is really an average daily increase of about 30-40%," commented Hadzhidimitrov.
