Traffic will be stopped through the Petrohan Pass on April 23 and 24

RIA appeals to drivers to follow traffic rules

On April 23 and 24 from 10:00 to 16:00, the movement of all vehicles through the Petrohan Pass - Road II-81 will be limited due to the removal of trees within the road boundaries.

A sanitary felling of fallen trees will be carried out near the road boundary after their icing in December 2024. The activities will be carried out jointly by employees of the State Forestry-Berkovitsa and the Regional Road Administration - Montana.

While the necessary activities are being carried out in the Petrohan Pass - Road II-81 between the 51st and 72nd km, vehicles will be redirected along bypass routes. The alternative route for all vehicles is from road I-1 Montana - Vratsa - road II-13 Krapchene - Krivodol - Borovan - Byala Slatina - Knezha - Dolni Dabnik - road I-3 Dolni Dabnik- Lukovit - Zlatna Panega - AM „Hemus“ and back.

A detour route for vehicles up to 12 tons is also from road III-812 at the intersection with II-81, near Varshets - along road III-162 Dolna Bela Rechka - Gorna Bela Rechka - Milanovo - Lakatnik Station - Svoge - Iskrets - Buchin Prohod.

The „Road Infrastructure“ Agency appeals to drivers to comply with traffic rules and restrictions and not to undertake risky overtaking, which endanger the safety of all other travelers.
