The election promises for a radical change in Sofia were not kept. The points in the agreement were trampled on one after another. We see only regression, but not progress. This was said on the air of NOVA NEWS by the municipal councilor from “Save Sofia“ Andrey Zografski, after Boris Bonev announced yesterday that the formation was withdrawing its trust from the mayor of the capital, Vasil Terziev.
Zografski emphasized that the appointment of Bogdana Panayotova as the chief architect of the capital was the moment when “the cup ran over“.
She authorized so many scandalous constructions, against which both we and “Democratic Bulgaria“ have fought and in fact we did not come to power to lie to the people of Sofia and to back down from our promises. This is a too compromised woman, she is not a person from the campaign. She appeared once, but we never found out who brought her, he added.
The municipal councilor assured that behind “Save Sofia“ there are no shady faces and no one is sponsoring them.
„Boris Bonev gave up on being a candidate for mayor so that GERB could be ousted from the municipality and the city could begin to radically modernize. I hope that now we will be able to present our vision for the city. And we started to grumble when the dubious appointments began“, Zografski also said.
During the interview, it became clear that Bonev's formation will insist on revising the draft budget for Sofia for this year.
„Sofia needs much more investment, especially in terms of streets, gardens and lighting. From „Save Sofia“ we will not support the draft budget of Sofia for 2025, because this is Fandakova's budget from 2019“, he also said.
We are leaving because we did not find understanding for the radical change for Sofia. We believe that much more could have been done for the city, because half a term has already passed, added the municipal councilor.
When asked last what grade on a six-point scale he would give for Vasil Terziev's work as mayor of Sofia, Andrey Zografski answered: “A three“.
