„Green Key” is the most prestigious distinction in tourist and entertainment establishments in the "Ecology" part. For the third year in a row, it was awarded to the capital's InterContinental Hotel. The prize is proof that the sites that receive it are concerned about the environment, are engaged in “green initiatives” and make efforts to increase sustainability in everyday business operations.
InterContinental is not the only hotel with a “Golden Key” certificate. At the beginning of November, two other capital hotels received the “Green Key” - "Novotel Sofia" and "Ibis Airport Sofia" from the Accor chain.
The "Green Key" program is a certification procedure for tourist sites managed by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE, www.fee.global). The organization is present in over 80 countries, through over 100 members.
