A hearing is underway in the case against Orlin and Plamen Vladimirovi for the murder of Eugenia. The relatives of murdered Evgenia Vladimirova insist on the most severe punishments. Before the meeting, they again protested in front of the Courthouse in Sofia. At the moment, the court is listening to the experts for the last expertise in the case, to show exactly how Evgenia died. Her husband Orlin Vladimirov tried to prove the version that he did not strangle her, but that she fell and hit her head on a cupboard.

There are three experts responsible to the court for the new medical examination. According to her, the woman was definitely strangled, she resisted, she struggled, death could have occurred from 5 minutes to 1 hour.

Evgenia's relatives asked for life imprisonment for both perpetrators without the right to appeal.

"If it ends today, I hope for life without parole for the two murderers, the son and the father. If the case is not over, this is the wish of my whole family for the next time as well, and if something can be done, a person sentenced to a life sentence should not walk the streets of Pernik, of Sofia, of Bulgaria", said Kapka Chorbanova, mother of Eugenia.

"This case dragged on for a long time and they still get the real punishment they deserve. A person who received a life sentence in the first instance cannot walk the streets like the rest of us. This is a mockery of Evgenia's memory," Lubomira Dikova is categorical.

Suspects for the woman's death are her husband Orlin Vladimirov and his father Plamen.

The new expertise has established the mechanism of the murder and the causes of the woman's death. It was requested by the defense of the two defendants. It is expected that after the examination, the parties will proceed to their pleadings and the court will issue a decision.

The woman's body was found in 2021 in a suitcase in a reservoir near Pernik.

Orlin and Plamen Vladimirovi were sentenced at first instance to life imprisonment, but the sentence was appealed and now the case is being considered by the Court of Appeal in Sofia.
