The tour operator Balkan Holidays UK has a new owner and is suspending the summer season program in Bulgaria.
This was reported by TravelNews, referring to an official announcement from the company.
"A few days ago, negotiations for a change in the ownership of VN UK were finalized. The new owner has the idea of restructuring the company's activities, having decided not to implement the program for the upcoming summer season in Bulgaria," the tour operator commented. No additional information about the new owner has been announced so far.
The dynamics of the markets, changes in customer habits and the unstable political situation in Europe contributed to this decision. We believe that the restructuring will enable the company to meet the new challenges of the tourism business, the company added.
British customers who have already booked summer holidays in Bulgaria have been offered rebooking on EasyJet holidays programs with special conditions.
All existing business relationships and cooperation of other companies under the "Balkan Holidays" brand remain unchanged, the company added.
Balkan Holidays UK was the largest tour operator that brought British tourists to our country. It operated charters to
The Bulgarian Black Sea coast, mainly to Burgas due to the interest in Sunny Beach. In the winter, it operated charters to Sofia, where they came for ski holidays in Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo.
