The Sofia City Court released the director of the 37th Secondary School "Raina Knyaginya" in the capital's "Lyulin" district on bail of 1,000 leva, BNT reported.
She was detained on Friday at the time of receiving a bribe.
Two witnesses were present at the search of the director and the search of her office. It became clear in the courtroom that during these actions, experts sprayed Tsvetomira Georgieva's hands, which glowed. And in practice, this means that she touched the 10,000 leva that were found in the cash register. The court noted that there was no record of marking in the case. A criminal investigation was also conducted against one of the witnesses in order to uncover the crime.
According to the investigation, the principal requested a bribe of 20,000 leva or 10,225 euros from a contractor related to a school renovation project that received public funding under the "School STEM Environment" procedure. The EU funds were received under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, with additional co-financing from the Bulgarian state budget.
