The English rock musician Paul Rodgers is celebrating his birthday. The former vocalist of Free and Bad Company was born on December 17, 1949.

In the late 1960s and 1970s, Rodgers achieved the status of a world-famous rock star as the singer of the two legendary bands. In the following decades, he devoted himself to a solo career, to reach the mid-2000s, when again, his name was in the center of media attention due to his reunion with the musicians of Queen in the project called Queen + Paul Rodgers.

Paul Rodgers was placed at 55th position by Rolling Stone magazine on their list of “100 Greatest Singers“. Hit Parader magazine included him at number 9 on its list of the “100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All Time“.
