The film about Gundy is one of the most professionally made Bulgarian films. In the "Vlaykova" cinema, we had 25 screenings with a full house. In my opinion, the actor who plays Gundy was given such a task, a wrong one, commented the director and documentary filmmaker Oleg Kovachev in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio.

"When leaving, the audience says, "here Gundy was killed by the State Security Service", which is ridiculous to make such suggestions. I was lucky enough to be close to him twice, I didn't talk to him, I looked at him like God. Gundy was a modest man, he blushed when he talked to girls, extremely modest. His sister told me that he was humble and kind. That's what I know about Gundy. And I didn't like some things. Well, that's my point of view. Some say that he was made a little bit sloppy and a little more cheeky, but he's not like that. I'm a little sorry that Gundy will remain the way he is shown in this film, and not the way we know him from the adults. But that's life," commented Oleg Kovachev, who played the child in the iconic Bulgarian film "The Knight Without Armor" with Apostol Karamitev.

About Bulgarian films with child actors, he shared:

"These films were for adults with children. But Valeri Petrovski's films were made with children in such a way that adults would think about how to raise them, how to love them."

Oleg Kovachev is the manager of the emblematic Sofia neighborhood cinema "Vlaykova" and one could say that he is among the people who revived it and saved it from extinction.

"There are no neighborhood cinemas in Sofia, the only one is "Vlaykova". Everything else was ruined, destroyed and sold. They are all in malls and I am glad that with a lot of work and help we saved the "Vlaykova" cinema. I think we did what was our goal 5 years ago when we took over the management," Oleg Kovachev said.

He is convinced that the "Vlaykova" cinema is an oasis of culture in the heart of Sofia, next to Orlov Most, where people can watch concerts and children's plays in addition to good films:

"And I am thrilled that we managed to save my favorite cinema. There are more and more people who understand that watching a film at home and going into a dark hall and watching a film is different. Watching cinema is a pleasure, a bit forgotten, but it seems to me that young people understand it. Many Bulgarian and European films are seen in our cinema. We also showed old films that young people have only heard about, but the hall was filled."
