The film "Emilia Perez" (2024) by French director Jacques Audiard won the "Golden Globe" award in the category "Best Foreign Language Film", CBS reported.
The film also won the award for Best Supporting Actress, which was won by Zoe Saldana.
In 2024 Another French film won the Best Foreign Language Film category, with the award going to “Anatomie d'une chute“ (Anatomie d'une chute, 2023).
The "Golden Globe" awards, presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, are second only to the "Oscars" in terms of prestige in the United States. The award is given based on the previous year's results in more than 20 categories spanning film and television.
The 82nd awards ceremony is held in Los Angeles, California.
