The gases of a huge whale have sparked fears among the British Navy that Russian drones have targeted the United Kingdom's nuclear submarines, NOVA reported.
Serious sound disturbances in the waves were caught twice by the Navy's sensors, which scanned the water area for signs of enemy activity.
This has sparked fears that one of Vladimir Putin's unmanned submarines has dropped a listening device on the seabed between the island of Rasse and Applecross in northwestern Scotland.
However, a naval official explained that after extensive analysis of the sounds, it was determined that they were powerful gases from the large marine mammal.
There were concerns that that the Russian deep-sea research unit, known as GUGI, is trying to record the acoustic signatures of British submarines – which would make them easier to track and endanger their crews.
