Only in five years, robots will be able to surpass the best surgeons in the quality of medical operations, billionaire Elon Musk said on the social network X.
The businessman noted that his company Neuralink was forced to use robots to implant electrodes in the brain, as human hands are not able to perform such an operation with the necessary speed and precision.
Musk's startup Neuralink, founded in 2016, is developing chips that can eventually be implanted in the human brain. The entrepreneur believes that such neural interfaces will allow a person to become a cyborg capable of resisting artificial intelligence, and will also help people learn to control a computer using the power of thought.
In 2023, the company announced that it had received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to conduct clinical trials on humans.
