China has successfully launched a group of six Shiyan-27 satellites into orbit for near-Earth space exploration, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced.
The launch was carried out at 6:51 a.m. local time from the Taiyuan Spaceport in north-central China's Shaanxi Province.
The carrier rocket that sent the satellites into space was the Long March 6
The Shiyan-27 satellites, as the corporation notes, are mainly used for near-Earth space exploration and technical testing of relevant technologies.
