The scandal with Teodora Georgieva showed that dependent dwarfs should investigate whether there are dependent dwarfs in our judicial system. And when they are in leadership positions, the entire system becomes a mockery and a scoundrel.
The scandal with the Bulgarian European Prosecutor Ms. Georgieva clearly demonstrates the fact that dependent individuals are appointed to senior magistrate positions in our country. Before judges and prosecutors were elected, they seem to have been “interviewed” with Petyo Euroto and other similar intermediaries, who are also in possession of recordings of these meetings and other compromising information about the candidates. When appointed magistrates try to do their job and affect the interests of the political patrons and guarantors of the Euro, compromising material is brought out and the magistrate is intimidated or removed.
Was she intimidated by Peevski?
The story with Ms. Georgieva may be much more sinister, because while the scandal was unfolding, her family house burned down and her mother died under very suspicious circumstances. According to Georgieva herself, she was intimidated by the notorious Delyan Peevski, about whom - again according to her - there is information that he demanded a huge bribe for the deal in Chiren. Peevski is preparing to sue Georgieva for these allegations.
While Laura Kövesi had not taken action on the case, the Bulgarian institutions and media were talking and almost managed to sweep him under the Thracian mound of uninvestigated scandals. But Kövesi - quite naturally - took measures to remove Ms. Georgieva, whose independence is already in serious doubt. The country's politicians and the media close to them happily took up the topic - if Georgieva was removed for extortion from the Euro, then whatever she says is still not true. Borisov, who until recently did not know Petyo Euroto, confidently stated that Georgieva was with Petyo Euroto (hinting that Borisov himself had never eaten or smelled onions).
In fact, however, it is very likely that Georgieva was dependent on the Euro and at the same time was telling the truth about the investigation into Chiren. That is, that the order for the expansion of the gas storage facility is corrupt. Our institutions are in no hurry to help the European Public Prosecutor's Office in the investigation of this potential crime, however. Even Minister Daniel Mitov boasted that the Ministry of Interior delayed the requested searches and other procedural measures in Chiren by only five days (and not 10, as the European Public Prosecutor's Office claims).
The big problem in our judicial system
Here the big problem in the case arises and it is that dependent dwarfs must investigate whether there are dependent dwarfs in our judicial system. The task is complex and only a miracle would lead to its solution. The European Public Prosecutor's Office and the integrity of Laura Kövesi could become such a miracle, but hopes should not be too high. And this is because the European Public Prosecutor's Office relies entirely on the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior, investigation and prosecution, for the collection of evidence and other procedural measures. When the Ministry of Interior delays by about ten days, when information leaks here and there and the five Europeans disappear from the country, when a false trail is laid and Mihalya is pursued with a galactic arrest warrant, there is not much chance of success. But at least Laura Kövesi can put pressure on the dwarves and ultimately, if nothing else, expose the lack of cooperation on their part.
In the Bulgarian judicial system, of course, the vast majority of magistrates are honest and professional people. But when dwarves hold key leadership positions, the entire system becomes a mockery or a bludgeon. This system still does not stop making absurd accusations about the opposition of political patrons like Borisov and Peevski, and it defends them even from the most obvious scandals, for which in other countries they would at least get charges. It has come to the point where almost all the leaders of the PP-DB (Petkov, Borislavova, Bozanov…) are accused of phantom “crimes”, while the patrons of the seized state institutions are even getting away with an investigation against them, when a bunch of people testify that they gave or asked for huge bribes.
One question remains hanging with terrible force: everyone agrees that Laura Kövesi was right to remove (at least temporarily) the Bulgarian European Prosecutor because of doubts about Ms. Georgieva’s independence. The meetings with Petyo Euroto and the appointments conspiracies are enough of a stain on the reputation of a magistrate. Alas, the Bulgarian Prosecutor General is in a similar position regarding Petyo Euroto – and there is a lot of evidence that he spent a lot of time at the office of the court-prosecutor broker without any reasonable explanation as to what exactly he was doing there.
And dwarf politicians
Moreover, so far the investigation of Petyo Euroto has not brought to light the information about magistrates against whom there is compromising material. These magistrates are like time bombs. Therefore, it is justified to claim that it is paradoxical to expect dependent dwarfs to investigate dependent dwarfs. The investigative bodies themselves are not doing what is necessary to get to the bottom of the story and begin the cleansing of the system.
The big question is who is Petyo Euroto's patron and in whose interest he acted. Borisov's version that Euroto, whom he does not know, is an independent player is implausible. If these intermediaries were single black sheep, their influence would have ended long ago. But it seems that patrons reach high and deep into Bulgarian public life. And it is not just about magistrates, but also politicians. Which makes the case even more difficult to resolve.
Quiet until we enter the eurozone...
In this situation, of course, the following appeal also appeared: quiet, that if we make a lot of noise about corruption, we will fail Bulgaria's membership in the eurozone. No investigations, no scandals until the cherished date of membership: if Peevski has to support the government, the end justifies the means!
In the country of dependent dwarfs, it is natural that there are dwarf politicians. Those who cannot choose their partners, but are doomed to each other. Those who no sanitary cordons can separate and are doomed to always be together.
Until the eurozone, and beyond.
