What is happening in the Sofia metro is a symbol of what is happening in the country. The scandal is huge. The lives and movement of millions of people depend on this company every day. The Sofia metro is one of the best organized and functioning in the world. The Sofia municipality has been shaken by scandals for days. This is what Maya Alexandrova from “Nepokorna Bulgaria“ wrote on Facebook.
Yesterday they replaced the man who has been managing the metro for almost 40 years - Stoyan Bratoev. If he is really in poor health, they should have sent him off with honors, kept him as an advisor so that there is no stress in the system. Only they replaced him with a secret coup, with police officers, with scandals, with running around the floors. The newly elected director left with the police!!! There will be no continuity or expertise in such a scandalous change. The mayor and municipal councilors claim that the change is because of some 140 million for new locomotives.
After many years of faithful service to GERB, who boasted about his work, they literally kicked out the "old and sick" (I put thick quotes) executive director. Kicked out, perhaps, so that he wouldn't interfere with the new scams. They put in a “new and healthy” or rather a convenient and obedient, a man from the “kitchen”, who is unknown, but clearly not a random choice.
Has a new time come for theft, orders and commissions worth millions, for behind the scenes?
The key question is - who directed this coup in the metro?
The answer is - the coalition in the Sofia Municipal Council (GERB-SDF, BSP, INT and the breakaways from “Vazrazhdane“). Where positions are given out not for merit, but for obedience and the management of companies is appointed!
And out of spite for the totally lost elections by GERB and its partners - they will sabotage everything in the city, to say later: “Only GERB can build a metro”.
And the truth is one: the mafia is taking over the metro, just as it took over the municipality, just as it took over the state!
No reconciliation in the face of what is happening. It is time to be rebellious and pull the emergency brake on the mafia!
