CSKA forward Fernando Karanga was the big absentee in the first leg of the semi-finals of the Bulgarian Cup against Botev (Plovdiv), lost by "the reds" with 0:1. Coach Stamen Belchev only announced after the defeat that the Brazilian was injured, which made him unable to play the important match.
It turned out that the favorite of the fans had injured himself, Blitz reported, quoted by Topsport. The incident took place after the last training session before the match with Botev. At the end of the session, the players started to take penalties. During one of them, Karanga was injured, he felt severe pain in his leg and fell to the ground. The Brazilian worried the coaching and medical staff, who immediately came to help.
