Ipswich relegated from Premier League - 1

Ipswich were relegated from the Premier League after a 3-0 away defeat at Newcastle, with the visitors reduced to 10 men after Ben Johnson was sent off for a second yellow card in the first half.

Ipswich have 21 points, 15 behind West Ham with four games remaining, while Newcastle have climbed to third place on 62, five behind second-placed Arsenal and one ahead of fourth-placed Manchester City in the race for a Champions League place next season.

Alexander Isak gave the Magpies the lead with a penalty deep into first-half stoppage time, before Dan Byrne and William Osula headed in second-half goals.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe returned to charge after a bout of pneumonia.

Kaoru Mitoma and Carlos Baleba scored late goals as Brighton beat West Ham 3-2 to end their seven-match winless run in all competitions.

West Ham had been looking set for victory after second-half goals from Mohamed Qudus and Tomas Soucek had turned things around after Yassine Ayari's strike. But Mitoma equalised with a header in the 89th minute, and then Baleba fired a brilliant long-range shot into the top corner in the 92nd minute to turn things around.

Brighton remain ninth in the table with 51 points, while West Ham, without a win in seven league games, are 17th with 36.

Wolverhampton Wanderers extended their winning run to six Premier League matches after Mateus Cunha scored one goal and assisted two more in a 3-0 win over relegated Leicester City.

Wolverhampton's excellent form has lifted them out of the relegation zone and into 13th place with 41 points from 34 games. Leicester are 19th with 18 points.

Leicester's Jamie Vardy missed a penalty in the week he announced he was leaving the club at the end of the campaign after 13 seasons, and the visitors have lost 17 of their last 19 league games.

Fulham pulled off a comeback to win 2-1 at bottom-placed Southampton to earn three valuable points in the race for European club football after Ryan Sessegnon scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute.

Fulham have climbed to eighth place with 51 points, while Southampton are bottom with just 11.
