The Moscow-appointed governor of the Crimean city Mikhail Razvozhaev announced that a Russian military plane had fallen into the sea near Sevastopol, world agencies and BTA reported.
"A military plane fell into the sea. I see that Ukrainian blogs publish a lot of different information. "No civilian objects were damaged," he wrote in "Telegram". Razvozhaev added that the pilot managed to eject and that rescuers pulled him ashore. The life of the Russian soldier is not in danger.
Earlier today, Russian channels in "Telegram" reported that a Su-35 fighter jet crashed near Sevastopol, but it is not clear whether Razvozhaev's message is related to these publications, Reuters notes.
