Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a telephone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"One of Russia's targets right now is our gas infrastructure in western Ukraine. Russia's success could threaten Europe's entire energy security. We must find a way to face this challenge together," Zelensky wrote in X, as quoted by Ukrinform.

During the phone call, the Ukrainian president also informed Tusk about his trip to Kharkiv and the situation there. In particular, about Ukraine's urgent need for air defense to protect Kharkiv and other regions.
"We have also directed our teams to begin work on the text of the bilateral security agreement immediately. Such an agreement between historical partners should be as ambitious as possible," Zelensky said.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Poland has provided Ukraine with military aid worth almost $4 billion.

He described the battlefield situation in the region as "extremely difficult" but under control. Against this background, Russia is trying to continue its new offensive beyond the border areas.
