Odesa region faced a heavy rocket attack that claimed lives and caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure, reports Reuters. which quotes a statement by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, on the Telegram messaging platform, BTA reports.
"Unfortunately, as a result of today's Russian attack on the Odesa region, one person died,'' Kiper said. The governor offers sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.
According to information from Kiper, the number of injured has increased to eight people. Five of them were hospitalized in a moderate condition, and the rest received medical assistance on the spot.
For the third time today, the Black Sea Ukrainian city of Odessa has been subjected to a missile attack from Crimea. Sirens in the city and district were activated at 6:30 p.m., and explosions were heard at 6:34 p.m. This is reported in the local channels of "Telegram". The authorities call on everyone to stay in shelters until the alarm goes off, as quoted by BTA.
All rescue and emergency services are working at the site to overcome the consequences of the rocket attack.
