Ukrainian military reports 17 of 18 downed drones of the type Shahed over four regions during the Russian attack last night, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

Moscow's actions caused a fire in an infrastructure site in Khmelnytskyi region, where one of the drones was shot down, reports regional governor Sergey Tyurin. Emergency services worked to extinguish the fire this morning, and according to local authorities there were no casualties.

Additionally, the Ukrainian military shot down 8 drones over the southern region of Mykolaiv, without damage, regional governor Vitaly Kim reported. Drones were also shot down over Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

We remind you that in recent weeks a number of countries have allowed the use of Western weapons by Kiev on targets on the territory of Russia. Moscow asked the UN Security Council to hold a meeting on June 14 in connection with the decisions.

On May 31, US President Joe Biden approved the use of US weapons by Ukraine to strike targets in Russia to protect the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. On the same day, Germany also authorized the use of Western weapons by Ukraine to defend itself against attacks on Kharkiv Oblast.

Additionally, at the end of last month, Ukrainian forces shot down another 29 Russian drones in the Mykolaiv and Lviv region. Meanwhile, on Zaporozhye, Russia carried out 303 strikes in one day on May 28.
