The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its latest operational report reports a complex situation in several directions, quoted by the BBC.

The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsky direction, where Russian troops are trying to advance in the areas of Novoaleksandrovka, Kalinovo, Evgeniyevka, Sokol, Novoselovka Pervaya and Yasnobrodovka.

In the Kupyan direction, Russian troops attack in the area of Druzhelyubovka.

The situation is also tense in the Kurakhovo direction, where clashes continue in the area of Paraskoveevka and Krasnogorovka.

In the Kharkiv direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops did not attempt to advance over the past 24 hours, but carried out a series of airstrikes in the Kharkiv region.

On Wednesday, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, General Oleksandr Sirsky, announced that he had visited the combat zone in the Kharkiv and Kupyan directions. According to the commander-in-chief, the situation at the front remains difficult for the Ukrainian military, as the Russian army continues to attack in all main directions.

Syrsky wrote on his Facebook that the main efforts of the Russian army are concentrated in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions: there are attacks in the direction of the settlements of Kurakhovo (located near Marinka), Pokrovsk (a city located a little north of Kurakhovo) , as well as to Chasov Yar and Kupyansk.

In addition, the Russian army is still trying to take control of the city of Volchansk in the northern part of Kharkiv Oblast, where it opened a new front in mid-May, starting a new incursion from Russian territory.
