< p>The Russian-appointed governor of the southern Ukrainian region of Kherson accused Ukrainian forces on Friday of killing 22 people and wounding 15 in shelling of the small town of Sadove, reports "Reuters".
Governor Volodymyr Saldo said Ukrainian forces had deliberately struck the area a second time using a US-supplied HIMARS missile to cause as many casualties as possible.
Leonid Pasechnik, another Russian-appointed governor in Luhansk, an occupied region in northeastern Ukraine, said a Ukrainian strike killed three people and wounded 35. The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukrainian forces used US-supplied ATACMS missiles in the attack on the city of Luhansk .
There is no comment from Ukraine on the two incidents.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said both cases "reveal the inhuman, Nazi nature" to Ukrainian authorities after the United States allowed Kiev to use US-supplied weapons against Russian targets under limited circumstances.
Earlier, Zakharova accused Ukraine of using HIMARS missiles to strike civilian targets in Russia's southern Belgorod region.
In Kherson, Saldo wrote on the Telegram messaging app that a store full of customers and staff had been hit in Sadove, a town south of the regional center of Kherson, which is held by Ukrainian troops.
He indicated that 22 people died and 15 were injured, five of whom were in serious condition.
The Russian news agency TASS later quoted Saldo as saying to journalists: "After the first strike, residents of nearby houses ran to help the wounded and in a short period of time a HIMARS missile struck. Two children are among the dead."
He said Ukrainian forces "deliberately carried out a repeat strike to create more casualties".
