Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address to fellow citizens spoke mainly about yesterday's meeting of the headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, which discussed the protection of Ukrainian energy from what he called the "Russian energy terror", BBC reports, quoted by News.bg.< /p>
According to him, several solutions were proposed, some of which were related to the protection of the energy infrastructure, but the other part related to the development of its decentralization and especially to the development of the "green" energy, which Zelensky mentioned in the first place.
He instructed the government to develop and "immediately present a program to stimulate the installation of solar plants and energy storage capacities in Ukraine," the most favorable, in his opinion, program.
"In all public and administrative facilities in the country, in all critical infrastructural facilities, suitable alternative sources of energy supply are needed,", continued the president of Ukraine.
"The state will continue to work to create new energy production, new decentralized energy capacities,", Zelensky stressed.
We remind you that in the last two months, Russia has intensified its attacks against the Ukrainian energy system. Much of the heat and water production is currently out of order. According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Ukraine has lost about 9 GW of energy production capacity since March.
After the latest attack earlier this month, the sixth since March, the government imposed long blackouts across the country. Some consumers in Kyiv said they were without power for up to 12 hours a day.
