Kuleba talks to Szijjártó in Washington: No peace proposals can be based on the Russian narrative - 1

Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjártó in Washington about the ongoing conflict situation and steps towards organizing a second international meeting aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine, Reuters and BTA report.

Kuleba stressed that no peace initiatives should be aligned with the Russian point of view.

„In this context, I emphasized that no peace initiatives can be based on the Russian narrative”, he wrote on the “X“ social network.

The meeting between Kuleba and Szijjártó follows Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's diplomatic tour, which included visits to Kiev, Moscow and Beijing. Orbán's trip, described as a "peace mission", was intended to discuss the conflict.

However, Ukraine has expressed concern, noting that the discussions in Moscow were not coordinated with Kiev, raising questions about the effectiveness and compliance of these peace talks.
