Croatian President Zoran Milanovic told journalists on Thursday at the NATO summit in Washington, where the allies reaffirmed their support for Kyiv's membership in NATO in a draft joint declaration that "Ukraine should not be given promises we cannot keep," reports HINA , quoted by BTA.
Milanovic drew attention to the challenges facing Ukraine, including economic tensions and potential demographic problems.
„The path to NATO for Ukraine is seen as irreversible and we must take this commitment seriously”, he noted, emphasizing the seriousness of such declarations.
In these tumultuous times, Milanovic emphasized the importance of every action and word, advocating a thoughtful approach to international relations. He also mentioned the crucial role of the dialogue with Moscow, and it is essential that the Americans lead those conversations.
According to Milanovic, the dynamic between Moscow and Washington is key, and other aspects play a secondary role.
